Just One Of Those Posts.

This is just one of those late-at-night-I’m-bored-and-feel-inspired posts.
So… I’ll write about my weekend so far.
I’ll start from yesterday – one P.M. Just got out of school, headed to Erie for Easter “break” – also known as Good Friday. Had a pretty goo day so far, even though though it lacked our daily dose of Julia, who’s in NYC. But I wasn’t looking forward to the three hour car ride with my three brothers. That’s usually the worst part. But, alas, I survived. When we got here, it was instantly hectic – boys running around everywhere. I just sat back and watched. Later, I went on a walk through the woods with Hayden and Nathan. We had fun, got a little dirty. I was the worst, though – ankle down was all mud. Hayden was the cleanest, with only a little mud on his pants. Nathan’s shoes needed sprayed with the hose. After that, it was dinner time. Meatball subs and pizza. After dinner, I made cupcakes. For two and a half hours all I saw were swirls of pink and purple and yellow icing. During the entire day it remained a constant eighty degrees. By the time I went to bed, I was so hot. I swear, in the winter this house is a meat locker and in the summer it’s a sauna. Anyway, I went to bed with sounds of Austin slow breathing and Meet Dave on TV. When I woke up, it wasn’t on my own. I heard video games being played and children screaming. I was jumped on a few times. I fell back asleep when they left, and the second time I woke up, it was by my mom at around nine. “Do you wanna take a walk with us?” she asked. “No, I just want to sleep,” I replied. After that a few more times, she finally left and, again, I fell asleep. I woke up the third time by myself at probably around ten. I got up, got dressed, ate a donut, and played the bit of piano I know how to. When everyone got back from their “nature walk,” they had a load. Salamanders and a dead fish. They insisted it was alive, but the poor thing was dead, and looked like it had been for a while. Later I decided to take a walk of my own, so I went through the wood’s to Bob’s. He has a barn and a lake and what looks like a mobile home (I think it is). I got beautiful pictures of the lake and the woods. When I got back I was beat, because it’s still eighty outside, and there wasn’t even a breeze. I chilled for a couple hours, taking a break until I was needed – Mom and Tina were going out, so I had to watch the boys. We took a walk along the creek that lines the woods, and even found a hole (I think it was a mole or rabbit hole). Hayden yelled into the hole: “Hello! Is anyone down there?” I giggled at his curiosity, because four year olds are so adorable. We got back to the house just as my aunt and uncle (Hayden’s parents), Canyon, my grandmas, and my grandpa got here. We ate a Good Friday dinner – fish, of course, with macaroni and cheese and alfredo. After dinner, I disappeared downstairs and went on the computer and played pinball. I hold all five high scores – the two highest scores are over a million, because I am amazing
When I came back up, we sat around the table, told some stories, had some laughs. Nathan, Hayden, and Canyon all got baths and things settled down. A few of us sat down to watch The Blind Side, but about ten minutes in we were interrupted by Anthony, who said the fire that my uncles had started to burn out the hillside was really big. The movie was paused because we all had to investigate. My uncle was called, and he said it was just tires they were burning, so the fire got really big. My aunt was worrying that they weregoing to get a citation for the fire. Eventually we made it back inside and continued the movie, which was great. When it ended, adults migrated out of the white room, and left the five of us – Zac, Anthony, David, Austin, and me – here. And that’s where my story ends – right here, half listening to Roseanne on TV with the boys all asleep – Austin on one end of the couch, Zac on the other, Anthony on the chair, and David on the floor. It’s nearly midnight, so sweet dreams everyone
