New Moon Release Party With Edi Gathegi

Well, well, well. My life has been very eventful, you see. I’ve stood about fifteen feet away from a cast member of New Moon. And he was not very excited, unlike the screaming fangirls.
My story: All of the Twilight stars were scattered around the country for the release of the New Moon DVD, and Edi Gathegi (Laurent) was in Pittsburgh. So, I was excited but figured “Oh well, I’m going to Borders, and I’m satisfied.” But, I get a call from Sophie, who told me Edi would be a short thirty minutes away, on McKnight Road in Ross Township. So I was very unsatisfied with Borders by this point. I asked my mom if she could take us, and she (being a cool mom) agreed. So, I set off at 8:45 to pick up Sophie at her house, and around an hour later at 9:45, we arrived at 4801 McKnight Road – Best Buy. There was absolutely no line, and we figured we were in the wrong place… Then we saw the CAFs and knew we were right where we were supposed to be. We were second in line and so stoked. About an hour later, my mom decides to go ask one of Edi’s publicists if she could get an interview with him for her blog. He said maybe, and that he would check with Edi. He also added that Edi was in a bad mood. Now, why would you be in a bad mood if your movie is coming out on DVD and you’re going to meet some of your fans? Celebrities are so sensitive. Anyway, another hour passed, and at around 11:45, Edi came out. The DJ from 105.9 asked him a few questions, and he seemed alright, but he only talked for about two minutes, and then the man fled. Literally. He waved good-bye, then walked into Best Buy with his body guards and left through the back exit after talking to publicists and Best Buy employees for about three minutes. He was there and gone in not ten minutes. Meanwhile, all of these fans have been waiting to see him for hours, and we waited out in the cold (it was about forty, forty-five degrees but seemed a lot colder).
So Edi, what was your deal? I wanna know. And by the way, Sophie hates you now. Kay thanks bye.
So anyway, just wanted to let you know my story, and that I got the movie and it’s signed by Edi Gathegi
Pictures will be posted later.

And then, of course, Don’t Stop Believin’.
Don’t Stop Believin’ has been on an endless loop for me for the past three days or so. A group of my friends and I are going to audition for the music showcase my school is having, and we’re singing that song. So, since Jessica has a MUCH higher voice than me, I had the challenge… figuring out the harmony part. So I’ve pretty much got it down, but I’m still a little rusty on some parts. I even dug my keyboard out of my toxic waste area closet to help me. (And I’m listening to it right now, go figure.)
Enough about me, there’s other people in the world. Like… Chris Mann.
An update on getting Chris on The Ellen Show:
You can read a much better post with links that work here, at my mom’s blog.
An you can tweet these exact words: @TheEllenShow #MANNfans want @IamChrisMann on Ellen http://bit.ly/bgsuNG #GetOnEllen (pls RT!!!)
Ok. Next order of business… (This is a short one)
Sophie has been asking me to do this for weeks so…
Lemons.
There, are you happy? Thought so.
Okay, I guess that’s all for now.

P.S. – My space bar still doesn’t work so bear with my mistakes.
Just Some Random Bits. Nothing Much.

Well, now, it’s been a while, no? About two weeks I guess. I got sick of not blogging so… I came here. The perfect place, right? So there are a few little things I’d like to say. This isn’t just a “Hey!” then back to no blogging.
So, first off, my space bar is broken. There was something stuck under it, so I took it off and then when my mom finally got it back on, it was harder to press down. Sometimes there isn’t even a space. So if you see some words running together, that’s most likely the reason. Another reason could be laziness.
Next: The next Bran Hambric book will be titled Bran Hambric: The Specter Key. I stayed up till one thirty A.M. last Saturday night so I could find out
Here’s what Kaleb posted on his blog as the short summary:
“In BRAN HAMBRIC
: THE SPECTER KEY, while sorting through the same vault where he was found as a child, young mage-in-secret Bran Hambric discovers an old deposit box left in his deceased mother’s name. Unable to open its enchanted lock, Bran is suddenly haunted by strange messages from invisible spirits who call themselves the Specters. Bran discovers that the Specters have been enslaved by magic, and that there are those who will stop at nothing to take control of their dark powers.”
(copy and pasted from www.kalebnation.com – but don’t worry Kaleb, I have no intention of stealing your ideas
)
Also, you can go to TeenFire.ning.com and vote for the cover of Bran Hambric: The Specter Key! Exciting right? Not unless you have an account on the site. I was mad when I saw that you had to log into leave a comment for you vote. But you can stillseethem, which is just as exciting
My favorite is the third one, if that counts for anything. Which it doesn’t… unless you have an account on Teen Fire.
For any more information and lasted news on Bran Hambric, follow Kaleb Nation (@KalebNation) or Bran Hambric (@BranHambric) on Twitter, or go to branhambric.com.
Okay, next we have… The Vampire Diaries. Yes, I chose that at random, hence the dot dot dot… Anyway, Season Two of The Vampire Diaries is on Thursday at 8/7 central on The CW, so… Watch it, set your Tivos… Whatever.
Now lets talk about The Golden Globes. Ha ha. I finally have a subject that’s important to more than just me
Anna Kendrick (Jessica Stanley in The Twilight Saga) was up for best actress in a motion picture, but couldn’tlive up to Mo’Nique, who took the award.
Up won for best animated feature film, which was very well-deserved ![]()
The Up In The Air writers won for best screenplay in a motion picture.
James Cameron won for best director for the film Avatar. One of the most epic movies of all time.He said it took over four years to plan out and film… That is a long time, no? Beat the director of Up In The Air.
Best television series, comedy or musical, went to Glee, which I was happy about
Glee is my new obsession.
Avatar won for best motion picture, drama, again beating Up In The Air.
Those weren’t all the winners, just the highlights… to me. I turn something that isn’t supposed to be about me into something that is. I’m so selfish.
Zomigosh. I almost forgot! *le gasp*
One of my mom’s dear friends, Chris Mann, is a singer. And he has a dream – He wants to be on the Ellen Show. So we’re trying to help him out! Do whatever you can to make the happen – tweet it, blog it, facebook it, myspace it, youtube it… Whatever you can do to help a Mann out.
Chris’s Twitter – twitter.com/iamchrismann
Chris’s Blog – chrismannmusic.wordpress.com
Chris’s Facebook fan page – facebook.com/chrismannmusic
Chris’s MySpace page – myspace.com/chrismannmusic
Chris’s YouTube – youtube.com/chrismannmusic
Well that’s pretty much all fornow, comment
But only if you want to,cause I can’t force anyone to do anything… sadly.
**UPDATE** The Bran HAmbric cover has been chosen! And it’s the one I like! I’m so happy right now
Here it is:

It’s just an early sketch, so when the book comes out,it will definitely be in color.
One last thing – none of the links in this post work. And I’m wayy too lazy to fixthat. So just type them in your address bar or whatever.
Remembering 2009 … Anticipating 2010
December 28, 2009 by Emilee
Filed under Life in General, What's Going On?

As 2009 comes close to an end, I’m trying to remember everything that happened. Of course, 2009 was one of the best years of my life because that took up most of my sixth grade year, with was the best, and I have people to back me up for that… You know who you are, and I’m sure you’ll comment just for that reason.
So, here’s a list of all the things that happened in 2009 (and not just to me
) :
January:
Well, of course, we got a new president…whoo hoo. On January 2nd, Jett Travolta (John Travolta’s son) died. He was sixteen. It was announced officially that Taylor Launter would not be replaced in New Moon on January 7th
The “miracle” on the Hudson also took place in January, on…the 15th? And sometime in the middle of January I officially finished The Twilight Saga… Maybe around the 15th or 16th? I don’t remember because it didn’t matter much then. I didn’t know it would be a significant date in my life…
February:
On February 1st, the Steelers won the Super Bowl! Yay!
March:
Twilight came out on DVD the 21st! New Moon started filming on the 23rd, two days later.
April:
The Pens won the Stanley Cup on April 15th… Pittsburgh became The City of Champions.
I turned twelve on the 19th
But that doesn’t count.
May:
MY FRIEND SOPHIE TURNED 13 ON THE 23rd
On the 27th, Mike Tyson’s daughter died when she was playing with an electrical cord and got tangled in it… She was four. The first official New Moon trailer was released On the MTV Movie Awards on May 30th (hosted by ANDY SAMBERG!! Dude cracks me up).
June:
The death of Michael Jackson – he was pronounced dead on June 25th, 2009. Farrah Fawcett died the same day. Then, three days later, Billy Mays died. And now, what? He’s gonna be replaced by the Sham Wow guy? Yeah, I don’t think so.
July:
On the Fourth of July, former Nashville football player, Steve McNair, was found in his apartment, dead. I was in Nashville when this happened, so it was all over the news where I was. I could tell you every detail about it, but I won’t
Tenth Grade Bleeds came out on the 9th.
August:
August is the only month I couldn’t find anything for… help??
September:
An amazing three day string of events – on the 8th, Catching Fire (the second book in The Hunger Games trilogy) came out, and on the 9th, Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse came out. Aaand on Thursday, September 10th at 8/7 central, The Vampire Diaries aired for the first time on The CW. Oh, what a glorious month
Oh, and don’t forget the whole Kanye West situation. He interupted Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards on the 13th. “This day will live in infamy…”
On the 14th, Patrick Swayze died of cancer. I also launched my first blog post on the 22nd. September was chocked full of events…
October:
A failed attempt of a trip to New York on the 4th. Nuff said. Eclipse finishes filming on Halloween.
November:
Well, New Moon came to theaters! *cheers* *party* *cheers*
December:
Chris Henry, a football player, died in a car crash on the 17th. He was twenty-six. Also, actress Brittany Murphy died on December 20th. I finished The Hunger Games on the 27th
Jeeeez, what with all the dying?
So anyway, we all know that countless things happened in 2009. But what about everything happening in 2010? Here it is:
- January 10th, 2010 – Bran Hambric 2 title will be released! (initials T.S.K. … any guesses??)
- January 21st, 2010, 8/7 central – Season 2 premiere of The Vampire Diaries on The CW
- January, 2010 – Scholastic will release a paperback of Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse
- February 5th, 2010 – Dear John comes out in theaters (it looks soo good)
- February 9th, 2010 – Eleventh Grade Burns by Heather Brewer hits bookshelves everywhere
- March 5th, 2010 – Alice in Wonderland hits theaters
- March 12th, 2010 – Remember Me goes to theaters (starring Robert Pattinson)
- March 19th, 2010 – The Runaways (starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning) in theaters
- I estimate about March 20th for New Moon on DVD. I’ll update when it’s official
- June 18th, 2010 – Toy Story 3 goes to theaters!
- June 30th, 2010 – Eclipse in theaters!
- July 2nd, 2010 – The Last Airbender in theaters (starring Jackson Rathbone)
- July 20th, 2010 – Linger by Maggie Stiefvater
- August 24th, 2010 – Book Three of The Hunger Games comes to my bookshelf! And, of course, Sophie’s
- November 19th, 2010 – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part I goes to theaters
Also, here are some events that I can’t put dates to (because I don’t personally know or it hasn’t been released. If anyone does know, please tell me
) :
- The Hunger Games (book by Suzanne Collins) movie – 2010
- Bran Hambric: T.S.K. by Kaleb Nation - 2010
- The Host (book by Stephenie Meyer) movie – 2010
- Shiver (book by Maggie Stiefvater) movie – 2010
So, I think that’s it. Tell me if I forgot something, I beg you. Because I’m bound to have forgot something, whether it’s in 2009 or 2010.
Anyway, I can’t wait for 2010! Happy New Year, everyone, and I hope you all had a wonderful *insert winter holiday you celebrate here* and have a safe New Year
